MSC Poesia....Taste The Difference
Apr 3, 2008

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (April 3, 2008) – There will be four restaurants to serve the diverse tastes of guests sailing on MSC Poesia, the newest addition to the MSC Cruises fleet, which will be christened in Dover on April 5.

The ship’s restaurants are Le Fontane, Il Palladio, La Cafeteria Villa Pompeiana and l’Obelisco, the à la carte restaurant.

There will also be 12 bars, two of which – Mohito Bar and Piraña Bar – will be outdoors, providing perfect places to taste delicious Mediterranean dishes prepared by the ship’s accomplished chefs.

The Cafeteria Villa Pompeiana and the two pool areas – Coral Bay and Cayo Levantado – will occupy more space on the Foscolo Deck, offering guests a stunning panoramic view.

The Kaito Sushi Bar is similar to the one on board MSC Musica. This will offer Japanese food and ambiance, a Zen garden and art pieces. The prestigious Berlitz Guide to Cruising and Cruise Ships states, “Kaito, the Japanese restaurant aboard MSC Musica provides a near authentic taste of popular Japanese cold and hot dishes, including excellent sushi, sashimi, tempura, and noodles.”

Regional recipes, typical dishes, specialities are prepared by those in the know utilizing Mediterranean trade secrets. Meat and fish are daily alternatives, while daily pasta and sweets reflect the traditions and history of our Italian culture. A myriad of flavors wait to be discovered with a choice of 71 weekly menus, 280 different dishes and more than 200 precious wines produced and selected by international wine connoisseurs. From crusty cheese focaccia to tortellini from Reggio Emilia, pizza “doc” and kebab, this is a journey with a unique taste for life on board. MSC Poesia features a taste worthy of the fleet.

This is the window of a tasteful world. On board ships like MSC Orchestra and MSC Musica, twins to MSC Poesia, 5,700 cups of coffee and 1,000 eggs are prepared daily and 1,000 champagne bottles are popped each week, 14,000 dishes are served weekly, with 182 different choices per day and 1,274 choices per week!
