Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 2008 History Circles of InterestSM will Provide Enlightening Perspectives on World-Famous Destinations

Fort Lauderdale - October 8, 2007 - Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) has scheduled three Circles of Interest enrichment programs focusing on world history in 2008. Circles of Interest offer RSSC guests exclusive onboard and shore-side experiences and feature world-class lecturers, instructors and authorities from the realms of art, cuisine, history, environmental conservation, photography and wellness.

RSSC's history-focused Circles of Interest programs will be offered aboard 2008 winter and summer voyages of the 700-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Mariner and the 490-guest, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator. British naval hero Commodore Jamie Miller will host "The Falklands Conflict," a 19-night South America voyage departing January 16 aboard Seven Seas Mariner, while Emmy® Award-winning journalist and network news producer Elyse Weiner hosts "Barcelona and Florence Revealed" aboard Seven Seas Navigator's June 14 and August 16 Mediterranean departures.

RSSC's history-focused Circles of Interest programs offer guests rare opportunities to discover the secrets of diverse regions through the lens of a particular interest. The programs offer the insight and perspective of knowledgeable hosts, and feature the camaraderie of an intimate community of guests sharing similar interests. Commodore Jamie Miller, the United Kingdom's Naval Regional Commander for Wales & Western England and a survivor of the sinking of the HMS Coventry during the Falklands War, will share personal stories of his adventures both in the Falklands and around the world's oceans during Seven Seas Mariner's journey from Callao, Peru to Buenos Aires. The cruise will feature a visit to Port Stanley, Falkland Islands, where Miller will lead a tour of battle sites.

Elyse Weiner, an Emmy Award-winning journalist and television news producer, is the host for "Barcelona and Florence Revealed" aboard Seven Seas Navigator's June 14 and August 16 departures. Weiner spent many years at ABC News, was Tom Brokaw's foreign producer at NBC Nightly News and also served as news executive at CNBC. Over the years, she covered the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Pope's visit to Cuba. A seasoned traveler, she is founder of iJOURNEYS which provides mp3 walking tours in Europe. Weiner will lead informative tours in Barcelona and Florence that will provide participants with the eye and experience of a resident, plus the perspective and knowledge of a world traveler.
