From Walhalla And Wairarapa, Crystal Debuts Wide Range Of New 2008 World Cruise Adventures

LOS ANGELES, January 29, 2007 - In an industry first, Crystal Cruises has posted most of the details of its 295 World Cruise Adventures online - 15 months in advance. Guests traveling on Crystal's 108-day 2008 World Cruise may now view their shore excursions online.
A hike through Oahu's Ko'olau Mountains, a culinary journey into New Zealand's Wairarapa region and a river rafting adventure in Borneo's Ulu Temburong National Park are among the 82 new shore tours debuting during the luxury line's 13th annual global odyssey. All 295 World Cruise Adventures will be posted online and available for booking by February 15.
Traveling from Los Angeles, California to Southampton, England from January 19 - May 7, 2008, world travelers aboard the luxurious Crystal Serenity will appreciate their extensive options for shoreside exploration, including a complimentary tour on each of the voyage's eight segments and 24 overland adventures offering multiple-night in-depth experiences.
"Being able to read and research the particulars of each excursion really makes the destination come alive; and, by offering our savvy clientele up to 15 months to consider their worldly explorations, the journey really begins before they even leave home," says Bill Smith, Crystal's senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Active Adventures
- Four-wheeling in the ghost towns of Walhalla (from Melbourne) and along the isolated trails of Mooréa.
- Rainforest river rafting excursions through the Barron Gorge (from Cairns) and the Ulu Temburong National Park (from Bandar Seri, Brunei).
- Crystal's own version of the popular TV show The Amazing Race with the Singapore Runaround, provisioned with map, coins, water, tiger balm ointment, a sandalwood fan and more. Guests make their way along a customized route showcasing key sites, ultimately arriving at the Raffles Hotel for a welcomed Singapore Sling and tales of the day's adventure.
