Jan 18, 2007
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (Jan. 18, 2007) – Exploration and discovery can be found onboard MSC Cruises’ Northern Europe itineraries.
Three of the line’s ships will be taking guests to some of the world’s most stunning and unspoiled natural beauties this spring and summer on itineraries that feature the Baltic capitals and the Norwegian fjords.
The itineraries call at such memorable locations as Oslo, Tallin, St. Petersburg and the North Cape, the pinnacle of beauty.
MSC Opera and MSC Lirica – two of the line’s contemporary vessels – will each sail 7-night roundtrip itineraries from Copenhagen, alternating between the Baltics and the fjords. The classic ship MSC Rhapsody will offer 11-night alternating Baltic and fjords roundtrip itineraries from Amsterdam.
For those who want a truly comprehensive Northern Europe experience, MSC Cruises is offering special rates on back-to-back sailings on MSC Opera or MSC Lirica booked through Feb. 28. The special 14-night itineraries sail roundtrip from Copenhagen and combine both the Baltic Capitals and Norwegian Fjords itineraries at “Best Fare, Best Room” rates that begin at ,250 per person, double occupancy; government fees and taxes are additional.
“Summer is the ideal time to explore Northern Europe and its blend of modern cities and beautiful landscapes,” says Richard E. Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises (USA). “Our cruises enable guests to experience the region’s rich heritage while enjoying dramatic landscapes, quaint villages and fairytale vistas while sailing Europe the European way.”
“MSC Cruises is making it easy for North American travelers to have the adventure of a lifetime with special savings on its Northern Europe sailings, with savings of up to ,205 per person,” adds Sasso.
“Best Fare, Best Room” rates on 7-night Baltic itineraries, for example, begin at ,095 per person, double occupancy for an interior stateroom and ,295 per person, double occupancy for an oceanview stateroom. Rates on the 7-night fjord itineraries begin at ,195 for an interior stateroom and ,395 for an oceanview stateroom. Government fees and taxes are additional.
“It’s an incomparable value for an incomparable experience,” Sasso says. “Plus, kids sail free when sailing with two full-fare paying adults in the same stateroom.”
